Welcome to Africa IBTS!

For an introduction to their challenge check out this blog post.

The IBTS have not only smashed their initial targets, after an incredible week of hard work and thinking outside the box - they have (virtually!) landed in Luxor, Egypt on the continent of Africa. We are so happy to see the teamwork and perseverance of the groups and individuals working hard to get all the way down to us in Tanzania. This week, the D'Olier Street branch of the IBTSin Dublin had a staff member on an exercise bike at all times this week and cycled a very impressive 226km.

Back row L-R: Ciara Kavanagh (TL), Sarah Monaghan (CNM1), Mabel Allen(DA), Orla Cagney (RGN).

Middle Row L-R: Bonnie Chu (DA), Johanna Palighia (DA), Audrey Hendrick (DA), Michael Byrne (DA),

Front Row: Brian Lennon (DA)

L:R: Ailbhe Clarke (DA), Carmel Jackman (DA), Declan Sheridan (DA)

We are just so grateful and heart-warmed by the efforts of everyone at the IBTS to contribute to our work in Tanzania. This year has brought challenges that may at times have seemed insurmountable, but the efforts of the IBTS have brought great joy, novelty and creativity to the fore. We hope that everyone from the IBTS team, every donor, every TLM supporter and all those following the challenge have enjoyed the journey thus far as much as we have! The children are particularly tickled at the idea of 26 degrees celsius in Egypt being too hot to handle - just you wait and see! Safe onward journey - may the road rise to meet you!
