My name is Ms. Eliwangu Mlaki, I am a CFO and Donor Manager for TLM Tanzania. As a runner for Kilimanjaro International Marathon for this year I am fundraising for the wonderful organization TLM.
All the funds raised will go directly to one of TLM 13 partner site (children cancer care unit at KCMC) with the goal to provide high-quality cancer treatment for children.
In high-income countries, children who are diagnosed with cancer have an 80% survival rate. The rate in low- and middle-income countries is a meagre 20%. This is a devastating disparity… Am committed to tackling the issue of childhood cancer through working with TLM, that provides services such as chemotherapy and health insurance free of charge to children and their families who would otherwise be unable to afford such treatments. Another crucial element of TLM’s work is to raise awareness of childhood cancer so that families can detect the illness before its too late. Your donation will contribute to mine and TLM’s continued mission to ensure that all children in Tanzania who suffer from cancer have a fighting chance to grow up living healthy lives!
