The Board Members of Their Lives Matter Ireland

Their Lives Matter Ireland is dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer in Tanzania. Fundraising, managing inter-institutional partnerships and relationships are key roles of this organisation. They also manage Irish volunteers interested in getting involved.

    Lindsay has been involved in event management for over 25 years. She works for The Bar of Ireland. She was an Education & Training Coordinator for over eight years there and has now assumed a new role for the past two years in University Outreach. Her career includes organising a range of educational events, such as international conferences, short seminars and day courses. At The Bar of Ireland, she runs the annual internship programme, liaises with universities and students, runs the annual Transition Year Programme for schools and provides secretariat to a number of committees including The Denham Fellowship, a wonderful scholarship programme to promote diversity at the Bar.

  • Tracy O’Neill

    Tracy is a counselling psychologist, with a special interest in addiction and young adults, she has a private practice in Dublin and does contract work for several mental health support organizations. Tracy has visited Tanzania several times and has peeled many mangoes for our nutrition programme, along with sitting on the board for several years and helping organize some of our big Irish fundraising events.
    As our chairperson its her goal to widen the net of our supporters.

  • Sean McGlynn

    Sean Mc Glynn has a strong background in Medical/ Surgical Sales and Marketing .Started his career in the mid 1980’s as a Sales Representative and soon moved on to a Sales management and then Sales Director roll until starting his own Medical supply company in 2000. This company moved from strength to strength until he sold his share holding in 2021. Sean remains as a director and advisor to the company. Hobbies include Golf Travel and supporting the wonderful charity TLM.

  • Ciara Power

    Ciara is a global communications manager at Aerogen, Ireland’s largest indigenous medical device company. With an undergraduate degree in commerce & French and a masters in marketing business analytics. Ciara is passionate about digital, social media, events & communication. Since meeting Trish a number of years ago Aerogen has been a regular supporter of the charity and Ciara is delighted to now be more personally involved.

  • Rosaleen Tarleton

    Since Rosaleen’s first trip to Kenya in 2006 in her role with an international NGO, she has travelled to Tanzania, Uganda, Swaziland, South Africa and Senegal, connecting supporters with children and communities in Africa, and enabling donors in Ireland to see for themselves how their generosity truly changes lives.

  • Morgan O’Connell

    Morgan has been the Treasurer of the Board of Director of TLM since it was formed in 2015. He is a qualified financial advisor and works as a self-employed financial and career coach/mentor. Morgan travelled to Tanzania in 2010 to see the work of TLM.

  • Hugh Michael Hannigan

    Hugh Michael Hannigan qualified as a solicitor in 1999. He has worked in private practice specialising in media law until he took up his current role in 2014 as Editorial Legal Counsel with News UK and Ireland, publishers of the Irish Sun, the Times and the Sunday Times. He has played a key role in the process of creating this NGO.

  • Louise Fin

    Louise works as a Communications Executive at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Prior to this role she worked as a journalist and editor for over 12 years. As a freelancer she has contributed to publications such as The Irish Independent, The Irish Examiner, The Metro Herald, The Evening Herald, The Stage, TV Now Magazine, U Magazine, Ireland of the Welcomes and Food&Wine and has worked across a number of commercial publishing projects. Louise also has worked in event management.

  • Ian Hutcheson

    Born in Belfast and educated there and Dublin where Ian graduated in Economics & Administration at Trinity College. Fluent in German, Swahili and less so in French, he  has worked primarily in industry in a range of sales and marketing roles and currently as Business Development Director for Saint-Gobain Composite Solutions. In the 1990s, Ian worked for 3.5 years with Concern Worldwide based in Iringa Tanzania.

    His key skills are in open communications, developing long-term “win-win” relationships and asking useful questions to overcome obstacles and find positive solutions to enable organisational and personal growth.

    He keeps active by swimming, dog-walking and being outside as much as possible.
