Hi, I’m Ella.
I am currently finishing my third year at the University of Manchester, and I am running the AJ Bell Manchester Half Marathon on 31st May to raise money for Tumaini La Maisha (TLM).
TLM is an incredible organisation providing life-saving cancer treatment to children in Tanzania who would otherwise not be able to access it.
I grew up in Tanzania and had the privilege of volunteering with TLM, where I saw first-hand the amazing work they do and the impact they have on so many young children. I unfortunately lost my mum, Linda, to cancer when I was young, and I have seen the effect it can have on families. Knowing that there are organisations like TLM making such a difference and fighting for some of the most vulnerable in society, is why this cause means so much to me.
Any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated and can make a real difference.
