My name is Alex Kaijage, a Partner / Director with Enson Africa, a consulting firm in Tanzania providing Audit, Tax, Accounting and Financial Advisory Services.
For the past decade I have been working to support children cancer services in Tanzania and I can genuinely testify I have seen massive transformation in the lives of many children who had lost hope of survival. From a reach of less than 100 new childhood cancer cases a year to more than 800 treated, with an increasing survival rate from less than 10% a year to over 50%. With the limited resources, this feels like a miracle, yes it is happening!
I am committed to keep supporting all these efforts until no child with cancer is left behind.
As a runner for Kilimanjaro International Marathon for this year, I am fundraising for the wonderful organization Tumaini La Maisha (TLM) that has made a big impact on the provision of childhood cancer services in Tanzania. All the funds raised will go directly to one of TLM 15 partner sites countrywide (children cancer care unit) with the goal to provide high-quality cancer treatment for children.
Am committed to tackling the issue of childhood cancer through supporting to raise funds that will provide the team with the required resources toward achieving the continued mission to ensure that all children in Tanzania who suffer from cancer have a fighting chance to grow up and living a healthy life!
