I am Dr. Sarah Urasa. I work as as the Director of Medical Services (DMS) of KCMC. I am planning to run the Kilimanjaro International half marathon (21km) in order to raise funds for Tumaini La Maisha (TLM) a charitable organization that funds treatment and care of Pediatric patients with various cancers in various hospitals in Tanzania. Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center is a beneficiary to this support.
The aim of TLM is to treat every child with cancer in Tanzania, regardless of the economic status of their families. KCMC shares the same sentiment to Expand Treatment to All where it is possible and fundraising in this will bring in the inclusiveness to access of treatment and care to all children with cancer in Tanzania.
